Very young children are having problems, too! My grandson is 2 years old and is very angry. The Peds are telling my son-in-law that it's ONLY the "terrible 2's". But is MORE!!! This normally cheerful little boy is NOT the same. He is very unhappy and acts out when his Mom tries to talk with him on the video-cam when she can. They communicate almost every day, depending on the inter-net conditions. He looks at every female in "camo" and calls for her. It breaks our heart to hear this. I'm trying to move out to the Base to help but can't do so fast enough due to commitments. He sees her car and runs around looking and calling for her! She was sent to Kuwait for 6 months and that is quite a long time for our kids, hers and mine! Yes, there's room in the military for women, whether some males like it or not, but more needs to be done to help the "new" military families. Not enough is being done. I don't care what is being said/done. I'm a mother/grandmother and Pediatric nurse for over 30 years and I'm stating that "more needs to be done"!!!!!!! It was always hard to go to work and leave my kids for 8-12 HOURS but MONTHS are even more problematic!
