treatment for pancreatic cancer in the elderly
With the inclusion of the 'duty to die' implications in the stimulus package, I'm wondering what the cut-off age will be for extending life through medicine and if some people will be exempt? Arlen Specter has signed on to it. I think Justice Ginsburg should have every opportunity to seek life saving treatment and I wish her the very best.
Thoughts with Justice Ginsberg
this has turned into a bash the Justice thread or bash the bashers thread.
Justice Ginsberg has not spent her life judging others, she has spent many years interpreting the constitution. While these decisions may affect people's lives, there is more than one justice deciding these cases and majority rules.
While I may not have agreed with the all the positions she has taken in interpreting the Constitution, I do not think anything this intelligent, compassionate woman warrants finding her deserving of having this horrible pancreatic cancer, which could ultimately result in a grueling and painful death.
My thoughts are with Justice Ginsberg and her family as they struggle with this diagnosis and future treatment.
Prayers and very good wishes
I had thought that pancreatic cancer was one of the deadliest forms of cancer. My prayers will include Judge Ginsberg and her family.
Sorrow
My family and self wish you the very best. Our prayers go out to her husband Martin and her family. I thank her for her service to our Nation. To be picked to service on the Highest Court in The Land... We Thank you...
pancreatic cancer
My wife just died from pancreatic cancer. It was so horrible and painful for her. My prayers and best wishes go out to the judge. Politics be damned. When your loved one is dying, intolerance and hatred take a back seat to compassion and love. Cancer sucks.
the lady judge and cancer
Madame
with all life came a beginning and end. We all died and many with much suffering and pain. Life is not fair or balance. But you play your cards the best you can with what you have. Be grateful with your many blessings and live your life up to it very end. I am not your judge or jury, only you will be when you pass the veil. For what ever it is we came from something and we will go back to something with what we did in this classroom of lessons called life. Wishes of only the best. Chin up and bear it.

Why is abortion being brought into this discussion?!?
Unfortunately it seems religulous wackos simply cannot resist connecting abortion to everything...
I rarely leave comments
Because I don't think there are many people who actually read these comments with an open mind. Most people who post have a single agenda to advance. Lets review the posts so far: 2 idiots post that she gets what she deserves? Then 3 of you rant on Christians. One posts a redneck joke and the last post thinks that only conservatives are unfair and corrupt.
I do not agree with her point of view on a lot of thinks, but I wish her well because she is a fellow human being. Pancreatic cancer is a terrible thing. NO one deserves it.
excellent
so, if something horrible happens to you, it's because you did something "evil" and deserved it. all of the children around the world who die brutal deaths deserved it then? if this is how "god" operates, he/she is the most retarded deity ever conjured by human imagination. tell me more about mysterious ways, imbeciles.

'you said you would never wish harm to come to anyone...how about the millions of babies killed every year in this country...they don't want to die, they want to live!'
Doesn't that bother you too?
