Acceptable Salmonella?
Does anyone know what the acceptable salmonella level for human consumption? Or do humans have zero tolerance?
Thanks.
FDA...what about USDA, too?
There's so much corruption with regulating food, like say the meat industry, it's incredible
Sweeping Retooling in FDA & The Other Health agencies
In that the FDA found evidence of salmonella at the Georgia plant, but
officials said earlier that it was a different strain from that of the
outbreak. close attention need to be paid to the other likely products,
based on the survey from the patients. Thanks.
FDA Reviews
Check out complaint # 59116 with the FDA. This complaint was filed March 08. Still has not been investgated.
Creamy or chunky, it's all good!
I'm still eating peanut butter, and I don't care what anyone says. I'm just like that, I like to live on the edge. No one can stop me! For lunch I'll have banana with peanut butter smeared all over, for dinner I've got my eye on a pb & j sandwich. Right now I'm eating some right out of the jar. They call me Dr. Danger!!
The rate the inspectors are going
I think that if the inspectors go so fast doung the insoections and they say that they are clear and they send out the products they might of missed or slipped over a product that had solmenella on it that someone might get sick.
Peanut butter and all other foods for human consumption
The peanut butter contamination is most unfortunate BUT NOT AN ISOLCATED incident. According to the news services (TV) the Federal health watch is insufficient as there are not enough inspectors to get around. This is almost unbelieveable.
We would not need that much inspetion if we would hold the owners, top officials , all directors and all shareholders responsible for any damage their products are costing the public.
Confiscate their wages, their bonuses, their houses, their boats, their planes and whatever else, hopefully after a swift confiction. Then put the management in jail - for a long time.
there is nothing more educating than proper justice.
We can't have it both ways. If we don't soon get order in the quality production of goods - any kind - than we are doomed.
of course as long as 50 billion Dollar swindlers can stay in their seven million $ appartment, we cannot expect that there is any change in the behaviour of the powerful.
Bush Blame OK
Of course, you are correct that Clinton leadership seldom got past the bedroom door, and it isn't fair to lay all this at Bush's feet.
BUT THAT'S OK, PLEASE DO IT!!
The Bushes have claimed Texas at their state because the state has hugely high levels of hypocracy and Texans are, well Texans. As a result the state executes lots of people each year and the Supreme Court Review of those sentences is essentially a joke. DAs and police work hand in hand with incompetent and worse in the crime labs to 'enhance' the evidence under the theory that 'the guy IS guilty of something'.
So, it's OK to nail Bush every chance you get 'cause he's a Texan and I can guarantee that he's guilty of something.
Put America first...Support the death penalty for politicians.
what you pay for
Less government oversight was plainly good for Peanut Butter Inc and bad for America. Get it folks? Now their profits will go down :(
but I think dogs are a little more resistant to bacteria, they eat roadkill for cryin out loud
I have some questions
Regarding this salmonella outbreak…I have some questions I wish someone would answer:
1. Is anyone with peanut allergies coming down with this strain of salmonella? The answer to this should be “no” if peanuts is to be the start of this particular strain of salmonella. Contact the various state dept. health directors and ask them this question.
2. For one minute…go back to when the FIRST salmonella was found. It was found in an OPEN container of peanut butter in a nursing home. My question is - How much of an investigation did the CDC do at the nursing home when they found the salmonella? When finding the salmonella in the ONE OPEN CONTAINER…did they send someone in to see how residents “feces” are handled by the personal care assistants? (In nursing homes, a major part of a personal care assistant’s job is to assist with bathroom type assistance - , bedpans, wiping butts, etc…) I also know that personal care assistants will also go into the kitchen and get toast and peanut butter for residents.
Anyone who has worked in a nursing home can give you many ways that cross contamination can happen. So….HOW much of an investigation went on at the nursing home that caused CDC agents to decide that it just HAD to be the peanut butter???
I want to know because I have been following this salmonella outbreak online for quite awhile. I want to make sure that it is peanut butter. But I have questions that no one wants to answer.
My questions are quite valid!
