Donation

I donated a kidney to my sister october of 2007, I was pretty healthy although I had some extra weight. While working my way back from the surgery I started running 3 times a week again. I am actually in better shape now than when she first got sick.

kidney donation

I donated a kidney to my sister in 1985. At the time I was a fit healthy 26 year old. I continue to be healthy and have experienced absolutely no side effects from the kidney donation. In fact yearly blood work shows that all my numbers are very normal and the remaining kidney that I have has "grown" to accomodate the loss of the other one. I would highly recommend donation to anyone. It truly is the "gift of life!" In addition, I just encourage everyone to indicate on your driver's licence and/or with family members, the permission to donate organs should death occur.

Dear Dr.Ibrahim,

Hope you already have donated your one kidney if not I don't think you should wait.
