This, folks, is the bitter fruit borne by the neo-conservative push to limit information regarding birth control to "abstinence only" religious-based dogma. IT DOES NOT WORK and this is the sad proof.Whether you want them to or not, kids are going to experiment no matter how much religious fervor you force on them, so either put on protective gear when doing things that can make a mess, or bear the consequences. Most of these new babies are going to be raised by those least prepared to raise them, the young poor. So our nation takes a second hit when these kids hit the grade schools woefully unprepared for life with other kids. What a legacy the last eight years have left us!
LOVE / FUTURE
Only TRUE LOVE, ATTENTION keeps them safe, I BELIEVE. People worry about steep food costs and obesity, though, they spend less on 'back to school ' , citing recession. People criticize the car manufacturers for their inferior energy efficiency, while the articles over the future renewable energy and energy- efficient autos can't be easily found on the the front page. People are concerned about the unhealthy diets, however, they ignore the toxic environments on the internet in the name of freedom. War calls for more substance abuses, internet porns, violences, too much gaming to paralyze the conscience, rationality. Teens, youths are in dire need of their parents' care and love above food, which lead them to use internet for the sound informations, education, just as the new president mentioned. Open note to the incoming president - If you are looking for ineffective and irresponsible spending, maybe this study will finally persuade the ideologically challenged that the millions of tax payer dollars going to the abstinence-only sex "education" and virginity pledges is not only ineffective and irresponsible, but dangerous.

Uhh, they release the ruslts of a study showing which states have the highest teen pregnancy rates and the only posts I see are related to the bible?
Maybe your post should be: OK, we know what states to target, now lets make sure they use condoms.
Last time I checked, reading a bible verse before having sex was not as succesful at preventing unwanted pregnancies as using a condom.

What did it show us when his mother, Mary, conceived him out of wedlock (I'm guessing her first miracle)?
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
Christians and pregnancy
We sometimes forget that Jesus was conceived outside of wedlock when Mary was betrothed to Joseph. Hebrew Scriptures set the normal age for betrothal at 12 1/2. Mary was probably 14-16 years old when he was born.

I'm sick and tired of the south failing in everything and the rest of the states having to pick up the slack!!
I wonder it it's because of all the tax cuts they get, or if it's because they place last in education each year (due to tax cuts and the church), or perhaps it's because ignorance prevails over inelegance down there, or it's their obesity problem, or maybe it's because they think Christ is going to come and save them soon so they don't have to be responsible members of society.
My message to the south…….. DO US ALL A FAVOR AND STOP REPRODUCING YOUR MAKING OUR GREAT COUNTY LOOK LIKE A BUNCH OF SLOBS!!!!!
