More Medicaid Anyone?

Under Sen. Harry Reid's legislation, states would be required to expand Medicaid eligibility anywhere from 133-150% above the federal poverty limit.

The Congressional Budget Office estimates this mandate to the states would drain state coffers by $25 billion. Obviously, this is causing some great concern to state governors from both political parties.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New York State Governor David Patterson wrote a letter to the two New York Senators fearful that Senator Reid's bill" could add close to $1 billion annually in new State Medicaid costs to New York , with serious implications for already strained State and City budgets."

New York State has one of the most liberal Medicaid policies in the United States, and in these tough economic times, they're saving money by rationing care for women in the state seeking cancer screenings.

And the Democrats in Congress hope to solve the problem by increasing the burden on all 50 states?

Health Insurance: YOur health plan after Reform

I've been in different hospitals (up to 13) too many times, as a volunteer. Most of the people using those facilities are of lower income... and of bad health. You see people as big as 200-300 lbs easily labeled obese for their age. Women who don't even use birth control with 4 or 5 kids running around. All able to work but rely on the free health-care County Hospitals have to offer. I heard one man trying to use ORSA, a program offered to those financially challenge to pay a fraction of the price, the SOB had two houses and a business, but wanted free-alternative coverage! Are you serious? WE will be paying for the unhealthy, lazy, drunks, whores, and elderly people who don't give a damn of their health. One elderly woman was there with high-blood pressure. I heard the doctor tell her for the fifth time she needs to go on a diet. But she refuses! Because the "medication takes care of it" that was her response. Those five combine medications cost around $380 for a 30 day supply. I don't want to be taxed a high percentage for those idiots. SERIOUSLY, I hate that I supported Obama for President, it was the stupidest mistake ever! HE's AN IDIOT!!! Another DUMB ASS as the Previous President. Politics is full of crap!

yes and we will receive how many lashes for not buying it MASSA? I think this president is just awful. In all my years of life he has got to be the worst president I have ever known. Along with the others he has chosen to run things, America is now in the hands of Nero. Doesnt anyone know a house divided is a house that falls. No one should be leading this country if they have Dual citizenship either.
