Cost
You said cost is important but i don't see any question that asked if you felt the cost was too high or low. I have a strong feeling many don't realize they pay more then they prob should be and aren't really sure what is low or high cost.Id also be interested to know if many who get their insurance paid for in part or full threw their work realize that a lot of their plan is subsidized by federal tax dollars.
Methodology
I am concerned that these rankings are based on self-reported data by the plans. I believe the methodology is flawed.

Rating Perspective
The perspectus that has not been included in the rating equation is the billing response and payment percentages that lead to less attentive care and longer time periods for appt scheduling. Physicians are not the only reason health care costs have risen. Do your home work and ask your doctor and staff what they think of the insurance company you are considering. There are some on the list that are not in favor with most health care professionals for their billing practices and payment shortages.
Health Plan Ratings
I am currently shopping for health coverage for myself and my husband. Are you familiar with Mega Life and Health Insurance Company. Are they to be trusted or avoided?????
Health Plan Ratings
I recently attended an informational meeting for SCAN in which they said they were one of the largest in So. Cal & Arizona. The benefits are comparable to Kaiser and less costly. Was SCAN included in your rating study and if so where did they fall in rating?
Healt Plan Ratings
I applaud the publication of these statistics; they facilitate consumer choice and provide incentive to providers to do better. However, no small part of the ratings depend on consumer interest and participation in their own care, independent of the desires and ability of the provider. If a consumer chooses not to maintain immunizations or screenings, that should not cause a provider rating to decline. If there were some way to rate just the providers' abilities the rating system would be more useful.
