irritable bowel syndrome

My daughter has been diagnosed with possible irratable bowel syndrome. She is 28 years old and she has pain in her back when she is hurting. Is this typical of irratable bowel syndrome?

stomach pains that worsen at night

I have a friend who has been checked out and the doctor can't find out what the problem is but her stomach pain is worse at night and gets better msot of the time after getting up and moving around.

Stomach pains

Hi MaryAnn. I'm sorry to hear about your ilness. I don't agree about havving a surgery and I think alternative medicins could help much more. You could consult with a naturalist doctor what natural medicins and herbs you could take for your specific problem. I've been diagnosed for IBS (irritable bowl syndrome)a couple of months ago and found out i had for a year more than that. I also have an ovarian cyst. Till a month ago ive been taking prescribed medicines and felt worse and worse. Now I started taking 100% natural medicins and follow an IBS diet and fill like new! You might even have IBS without knowing, general symptoms are: Bloating, vomiting, nausea, stress, and gas.

When my friend heard from me that I was really sick he told me "Dont have a surgery it will worsen your problems, you could talk with my wife about natural medicins." (They owned an herbal company for years)

Choliangina caused by enlargement of sphincter of Odi

Since my surgery 32 years ago, I lived a normal life . I had gallstones while in the military which shortened my career. Now 29 years later after the removal of my gall bladder and enlargemrnt of said sphincter, I have had one painful bout of nausea, vomiting and severe pain that sends me to the E.R for bloodwork for a possible infection and subsequent hospitalization. Is there a surgery to fix this problem because I am embarking on a career as a medical assistant, and I don't want to be a patient anymore. Id like to here from others with the same problem. My gastroenterologist says the repair would be long and painful and would have to be done on both my back and abdomen and it would reroute the small intestine to an area below the trouble area. Comments please.
