Being a diabetic with 2 diabetic children keeps us all busy--and financially challenged. What is the projected cost of an artificial pancreas? (The 3 of us use syringes because pumps are out of our pocketbooks.)

I would like to know more about under skin sensors and associated reading devices.In process control technology you can always achieve target set point (in diabetes control say 110 mg/dL) using PID (integral and derivative control)

My son was diag. at age 16 and is 17 now. He plays football on both sides of line. He had 111 tackles last year. His health is great and his a1c is around 6. His sugars are under control. My daughter was diagnosed just last year at age 10 with Type 1 diabetes. Watching her struggle to get a handle on monitoring a disease that requires constant attention has been heartbreaking at times. Knowing that there are researchers like you working to improve the quality of her life, as well as many others, is certainly a comfort.
