Stem Cell Transplant for Type II Diabetes Cure
I have been reading a number of articles on how one's own stem cells taken from the patient.s on body have been implanted directly into the patients pancreas, resulting in the patients being cured of TYPE II Diabetes. I've read about other cures for other diseases using adult and embryonic stem cells. Embryonic Stem cells can be taken from the cord and placenta of a birthed baby and does not have to come from an aborted embryo and there are millions of placentas and embryonic cords discarded every day by millions of hospitals every day so anyone who is upset that this encourages abortions is out of line. Babies are being aborted every day by stupid women who aren't smart enough to use conventional methods of birth control.
With all the cures that can be accomplished using adult and embryonic stem cells, it is careless of our country to not get into this science. The biggest reason it is not being done in the US is because our Pharmacies and Doctors make a lot of money from their millions of Diabetic patients because of the drugs that keep it at bay, but do not cure. In the end, most diabetics will die from complications of diabetes which the drugs done cure. Stem Cell Implantation DOES CURE! This should be push by all Diabetics in this country! The cures are being accomplished in Latin America, Europe and most other places outside of the US but it cost around $25,000, If it were allowed in the US, our insurance could pay for it and save themselves lots more money in the long run!

It would be a great experience to go for 2 years without 4 to 5 shots of insulin a day. sign me up for that posability.
Stem Cell Research Never Stopped
Mr. Kreisel, first and foremost you have my thanks for your service and my empathy toward your plight. However, you seem to be under the belief that somehow stem cell research was halted for the past 8 years. It was not--not even embryonic stem cell research was stopped by the former administration. What was resticted was govenment funding and only for the embryonic stem cell research. And recently, it's been revealed that adult stem cells seem to work BETTER than those from an embryonic source; the latter turned out to be less stable and caused more harm than good.
I find it interesting that this publication leaves OUT the fact that adult stem cells were used. It's if they're afraid to admit they might be wrong.

The fanatics who've delayed medical research for so long deserve nothing more than to become victims of the diseases whose cures they've managed to keep out of the grasp of the rest of the world. Thank God we have an administration that doesn't pander to the "Flat-earth" snake worshipers.

I don’t believe any Christians are against this type of research.

As a paralyzed US Army veteran I can attest to being ecstatic that we elected a President with both intellect and the integrity to fulfill his campaign promises. All the members of the Paralyzed Veterans of America support Stem Cell research and no American can claim to having given more to our country than us.

I'm so sick of listening to phony bible thumpers demanding we (the sane - half educated "that's all it takes" majority of the population), listen to their clap trap. That Bush with the support of these half wits held up science and caused the death (by default) of thousands of living humans (not petri dish blobs)is criminal. These religious nuts should all move to the middle east to join up with the other holy warriors. Let Amercian civilization move forward again.
