Yes, of course some caution should be used, there is some very good anecdotal evidence of people using the right type of manuka honey, and further studies are ongoing, and there are some people who can be allergic to bee products. I am familiar with this report, and would like to add... I have had great by also making a poultice from a combination of turmeric powder and aloe vera. Turmeric will help stop bleeding ulcers, and also helps heal the affected area.

I can vouch for this. I am a type I diabetic. Had gotten a cut on my foot. Honey healed it within a few days. Unconventional medicine is more than worth it.

Honey as wound treatment

As an experiment I tried this on a cut on my finger. I applied the honey and bandaged it, not removing the bandage for three days. When I took it off, I could see the wound closing. I continued treatment for about 1 week, and now have no scar at the site at all. It is certainly worth a try
