Smoking Cessation

What about alternative methods to stop smoking? Hypnotherapy has a high success rate and overall is a lot less costly than nicotine replacement therapies, less dangerous than drugs like Chantix, and eliminates putting the poison nicotine in your body. Of course, that means the issue is about the habit and not the addiction. I wonder whose bottom that would effect.

Primary RX for Quitting Smoking

There is no denying that giving up smoking is one of the most difficult tasks we face in life.

We all all understand that we are not immortal. And, there is no timetable for the end. We all are scheduled, but timing is either by chance or divinely established.

So the only question that remains is the quality of our demise. And, there is not a single cause related to smoking that does not involve considerable pain, and emotional stress for both ourselves and our loved ones.

The best prescription to quit will require a heavy dose of commitment, dedication and relentless perseverance. The failure to become a non-smoker may very well result in months of unendurable agony for both ourselves and those we love.

What smokeing really does

I quit smokeing 8 months ago and I smoked for 30 years. Im so glad I quit but i have to say that this little article is full of BS. Im not saying that everything is wrong but they dont know if its right. If they had facts they would not be saying "it may cause". If they had facts and new for sure they would say "It does". When I quit smokeing, it was the hardest thing I ever did. The emotional rollercoaster it put me through was enough to ensure that I would never pick up the habbit again. So if you want to tell facts, tell people how it messes with your nerveous system (you feel like your looseing you mind when you quit), It can cause depression, and It will make you stink, bad (worse than an ashtray).

Why did I quit??

I quit on 7/3/09 and have been sick ever since. It started with pneumonia, then a sinus infection, then pneumonia again, NOW they found a spot on my left lung. I quit because I was sick of giving my paycheck to the government for all the f*&(j taxes they slammed on cigs, NOT because I really wanted to. If this turns out to be cancer I'm buying a pack of cigs getting a case of beer and enjoying my time left!

It's only 1038 & I want to smoke

WOW...This is probably the hardest day I've had in a long time...Trying to quit! Good luck to all those who choose today as the day.

Quit Smoking Health Reasons:

I quit smoking on May 29,2009 because I didn't want to died from smoking cigerettes and I was in so much pain when I had went into the Hospital a GW that I thought I was going to died and I didn't want cigerettes to have anyhthing to do with it? So if you quit don't let it be because someone told you let it be because of your life and we all have chooses and I chose to live, learn and then quit lying to myself have a wonderful, safe and blessed day!

To the "10 Reasons" guy

if you think that smoking won't kill you fast, have you thought about all the diseases and illnesses that smoking causes? My grandmother had a stroke in February, she was a smoker, she had been for as long as I can remember and I'm only 16. My grandfather found her face down in the snow; she had been there for almost three hours. Now she is in a nursing home having to learn how to walk again and with no use of her right arm, how would you feel in that situation? I think you better choose your cold words wisely when critisizing what people write to try and help those in need.
