Women's health projects

We need to tackle this unavailability issue as strongly as we tackled the A.I.D.S. epidemic. We can do this with nationwide and even worldwide funraising events. We need grants for the building costs and this therapy can be made available to all income levels.

8mm lower left lobe lung nodule

A pet scan lit up showing not too strong a positive for cancer but not negative. If in fact a biopsy proves positive would proton therapy be available?

throid nodules

I have a friend with MS who has nodules on her thyroid and they are talking about surgery. I was wondering if proton therapy could be an option for her.

Proton Therapy

I underwent proton therapy at Loma Linda University Med. Cntr. in 1992 after seeing a news article about the installation of the proton beam. I was diagnosed with Acromegaly in 1989 which we attempted to subdue with medications to no avail. I had 30 sessions between Nov. & Dec. 1992. I do take hormone replacements today but never had any side effects from the therapy other than losing about a dime sized section of my side burn during treatment. Such a shame the medical community is so profit motivated this wonderful technology is still rare some 17 yrs. later.

Chordoma

Reading this article makes me very nervous because I sent my paper work today to Boston Mass Gen to see if I need the proton beam therapy. I am afraid that I won't be accepted because of lack of space with scheduling. I will try to sleep tonight. I will be saying my prayers before I go to bed until I get accepted.

proton therapy for patient diagnosed with myxoid liposarcoma metastisized to liver

Does anyone know if proton therapy is a feasible treatment option in treating myxoid liposarcoma that has metastisized to the liver? Please respond as soon as possible.

side effects of proton therapy

I have read articles from patients that are experiencing hip pain after having proton therapy for PROSTATE CANCER. The beam enters from the side of the body (at hip level), I wonder if anyone else knows about this. Comments are appreciated
