We also have many questions and issues about vaccines. In 1975 our 2 month old healthly baby girl got her first set of vacines..within 6 hours she was lifeless, trying to breathe, eyes rolling..shocking.. she had Whooping Cough. DPT given to her that morning. Three months of pure hell trying to bring her back to a normal baby. Years later researchers decided to correct this vaccine. This DPT was a world failure. This same daughter in Oct. 2001 had a healthly baby boy. Every vaccine he got (Some shot in all 4 limbs at the same visit) he ran 104 fever, screamed for days (nights also) and swelled from joint to joint purple red hot..huge..just laid there and screamed. His doctor said this was normal..give Tylenol..After the MMR/and other shots the same day at 17 months, it took over a week to see him calm down. BUT he no longer talked the few words he knew, ran in circles and screamed, plugged his ears, no eye contact, refused to watch his Blues Clues he loved so much, rejected any hugs or kisses..it goes on and on and it got worse. Autism they say?? I fully disagree with all the crap that is coming from the CDC, FDA, DHHS, Government whoever. We are living with a child harmed..injured..because they did not research the safety of the vaccines before injecting. To have a 7 year old child considered disabled and NON VERBAL is a heart breaking situation and a financial ruination of any family. I fully resent the greed of all involved with pharma co's. That ends the vaccines for my family..period. I read once that a comment was made by 'someone' at the pharma co's that it was impossible to do further research on vaccines cause where do you find parents who would approve to have a child injected with something being tested. One size vaccine fits all...Come on now. Does that really make sense? Also, why do some countries wait till the child is at least 3 years old before giving vaccines? HMMMM Are they smarter than America? I think so. This whole issue of vaccines is greed...Conflict of Interest..not the safety for the children. I would rather see my grandchildren have the measles, chicken pox whatever.. we traded 3 days of measles for a life time of disability? No thanks..stick the vaccines in some researchers arm and leg but make sure the amount is according to his weight..not one size fits all.
High Fructose Corn Syrup and Autism Link?
I know everyone has been talking about the link between vaccines and autism because of the mercury in the vaccines but could it actually be High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS)? On January 26, 2009 the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy did a study and found that 50% of HFCS samples had mercury in them. The FDA has known about it since 2005. Most of my friends claim side effects after vaccination
My son had 4 vaccines at the same and developed measles (one of the things against which he was vaccinated).
I think it is irresponsable to talk about thimerosal in vacinations and check if it's safe or not and to "forget" to check the frequency of develoîng sickness itself after vaccination. There are alive viruses in MMR, finally (at least my son got them alive).
On every vaccin it's written "do not administrate in case of weak immiune system". We've just made a test of his immune system - he's lack of Mannose bindend lectine, which was found plays a key role in protection against infections. There is no statistics published about in how many case vaccinated kids have low levels of MBL, which is a case of 8% of the population, from 40% genetically predisposed protection, or other immune factors and their relation to autism, ADHD and asthme cases.Why don't we check immune system before viccinations?
Most of my friends notes side effects of vaccinations - one child suddenly started to refuse any sugar and it lasts!), another started to have difficulties with sleeping, another - 9 months skin reaction on BCG.
Why do doctors put a sickness in babies bodies before checking if they are capable of battling it and before explaining to parents possible side effects? It would not cost to the government more than helping to hundreds of thousands of autistic people!
Why do vaccinators report side effects on such a low level - our doctor called to MMR producer to state there are buttons several days after vaccination and signes of rubella, which were presented for 20 days. They said it's "not them" - it's another virus (and our doctor said in worst case my son "simply" had this sickness)! I sent the info to vaccination state group - no answer. The parents I was talking to (except the ones whos children had clear genetics problems, which were presented since the birth) - said when they tried to report their case, nobody answers. Is it also in order to protect 99 kids from rubella by burning one's life? And what is going to happen in future then? When we'll stop, when it would be counted as "economically not effective"? I find it's simply disgusting when people who suppose to give health uses kids lives in order to give some job to vaccine producers. I guess if we compare the number of rubella cases 20 years ago and the number of autistic kids now...
Irresponsible
This article, being referenced in yet another 2008 article on vaccine safety, long after it has been established that genetic and environmental factors are keys to unlocking autism is irresponsible and dangerous to our children. Sensationalist news stories such as this contribute to the idea that no one cares what parents think - a false idea.
Since this article, more children have died from not getting vaccines. While we are all in agreement that vaccines should be safe and that safety should be checked routinely, we cannot allow fearmongering in a news source to determine public health policy and endanger more people.
Irresponsible reporting
I find this article to be incredibly bias. While an overwhelming amount of empirical evidence has been published concluding there is no association of both MMR vaccination and thiomersal with risk of autism, this author continues to lead readers to believe childhood vaccines are linked to autism. In addition the author inaccurately describes the contents of the IOM report released in 2004. The IOM stated that additional research was not necessary because the myriad of evidence available thus far clearly indicates the absence of a causal relationship between childhood vaccination and autism. The few studies that showed any associated between childhood vaccination and autism were methodological flawed, subject to recall bias and have not been repeatable under any circumstances to date.
Rather than taking this opportunity to emphasize the importance of childhood vaccination in controlling outbreaks of communicable diseases, the author simply exacerbates the belief vaccination causes autism. The author fails to mention recent outbreaks among children of measles in Europe and the US which in some cases led to death. The last thing we need in the US is a "vaccine court" that evokes the litigious nature of our society even more.

vaccines and SIDS
I whole-heartedly believe that there is also a link between SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and vaccines. At their 3 month check-up babies are injected with vaccines that I feel weaken the baby's immune system and may cause problems with conditions not determined yet. They are just too young to know exactly how healthy they really are. Why do they need shots at such a young age?
After my first born died of SIDS (at 3 months and 2 weeks of age), I did not have my subsequent children immunized according to "the schedule". I waited until they were older and spaced the shots out slowly. I ended up not immunizing my youngest child at all.
