I can't believe Vanderbilt got on the T.V.! I can't believe what they showed. How can a medical professional be in the O.R. without her nose covered? With all of the MARSA, Strep etc... that can be carried in the nose. Then this guy that they were operating on gets a micro resistant infection, that I looked up (STAPH) and they said it was not from there! I don't believe it. They can't even care to not pass on disease. COVER YOUR NOSE IN THE OPERATING ROOM!

Vanderbilt hospital, has distroyed our lives! The children's hospital has ignored my son's torsioned appendix in fear of being sued for not removing it back when he had salmonella poisoning from a baby turtle. The infection had started an acute process with his appendix. They ignored it on films. My child has lost years of his childhood in pain. Because they never tested him for salmonella, they had no record of it. When we returned to them they were more concerned about buisness than my child's health!
I had surgery there and they replaced a gland on the wrong side. I was complaining to them for six months about pain and pressure on the other side and they denied operating on that side, when my radiology films show the metal clips they left behind (on the wrong side). I have been looking for help because it has caused a osseo process to the bones, and I am on a do not touch list! Vanderbilt can have the power to do what they please with you. Be very carefull with Vanderbilt. It is buisness as usual! They get away with too much because the consumer is ignorant!
Proud to be a Vanderbilt Patient
With the exception of my pain management specialist, all of my doctors are Vandy doctors. They are all compassionate and knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. I wouldn't go to any other hospital unless I had to go to the ER and Vandy was closed. This happens often, because Vandy is the hospital of choice in a city with several hospitals to choose from.

Best Hospitals
This is a very good article. We have 2 major hospitals in my area. One of which gets in the America's Best Hospitals, twice that I know of. However, my hospital that I work at has the unity of team work, which is so important with the little time that anyone has these days. What would it take to have this hospital looked at, and maybe placed on top, there are so many positive things that this facility offers.

The best staff and medical care
I can say that every trip from Huntsville to Vandy is well
worth it. The health care is the finest! Dr. Herline and staff
took me to surgery in 2005 and have been there for me when ever I had a question after.Dr.Robert Miller was wonderful and took his time with me and found the problem and will now send me to a ENT doctor in Vandy...Each time I have had to go there they
have treated me like a person and not a chart. They have have let me vent and showed support. I know when I am there
I am under great care !!
