Lyme pretty much sucks
Lyme stinks and the people who have it are very sick. Very few people who get a late diagnosis of it recover. I like the philosophy of this athlete who had it (http://www.beatlymedisease.com ) because she thinks it's cureable but she is aware of how hard it is to get rid of because she's had it.
Most people don't even know they have it and I think it's safe to say that half the uS population has it. I really think the number is that high. It's disturbing because it's such a quiet killer...all we hear about is swine flu and Lyme Disease effects WAY WAY MORE PEOPLE.
Safer than Pesticide Spray
A safe, biodegradable alternative to using pesticide sprays is Tick Tubes. I purchase them from our local garden center but the product is also available online. We treat our trails and wooded areas with Tick Tubes and have seen a great reduction in deer ticks in recent years.
