Causality (cont.)

I believe the scientific and medical communities have done a great disservice by not including anecdotal evidence in their case studies, and may even be ignored purposely. There are countless parents out there with heart-wrenching stories and first-hand evidence that falls on deaf ears, because they are one of those "radical" people against vaccinations. Doctors do not log this information because they don't believe it can happen. Just because scientists cannot replicate experimental data does not mean we discredit entire studies. Unfortunately, there is little pure objectivity out there. It has been estimated that only 1 in 10 vaccination related "brain damage" cases is officially diagnosed and entered into the system. Most cases are not bad enough to get the "autism" or other label and logged, or are misdiagnosed. Then again, there are so many labels out there that the data is watered down. Again, the causes are never determined. I know of many parents who have stated: "I just know they (vaccines) did something to my child!"

If you are interested in understanding possible causality, check this:

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/pages/the-danger-of-excessive-vaccination-during-brain-development.aspx

Mainstream doctors and scientists continually discredit the loads of research and evidence in this area, but cannot provide science backed causality themselves. Who can you believe? I am not against vaccinations in themselves, but how they are being administered as well as the propaganda around how they are safe and effective. There is no long term evidence that vaccines are safe and effective for everyone. If the risks/benefits were honestly explained to you, you would not get them for your child. You would, at minimum, wait until your child matured. The risks are reduced after a child starts maturing.

The real problem is there are government and social agendas already in place, and will not be changed easily. Proponents of mandatory mass vaccinations only view this problem at a macro scale: it appears to stop endemics and epidemics. Short of our children falling over dead in the clinics, there will be no change. For proponents, the end justifies the means. They expect some percentage of casualties as a result of these programs. Otherwise, they wouldn't have the vaccination court and VAERS vaccine side effect data logging site. It is all for the perceived "greater good". The drug companies love it because they won't be sued! We are living in the new world order, folks. Get used to it.

Causality and motive

Things need to be put in perspective. Always question statistics! Statistics only prove data correlation. They can NOT prove causality. Anything can be proven or disproven by statistics. I've always tried to be empathetic to both sides of an argument. Whenever a study is performed, you must understand the motive behind it and who performs it. Usually, there is a motive behind these studies. I could prove with 95% confidence (standard statistics) that a study's data correlates...that is of course after normalizing data and strategically removing outliers and one-offs. I have a science and engineering background. My answer to people about statistics is always: SO WHAT!? I can make the data look any way I want, and it is done in industry all the time! Prove to me causality..."What is the root cause?". Statistics only provide a you with some confidence that your theory or assumptions are correct, not that statistics prove any causality in and of themselves. Obviously, this works both ways.

It is usually not about a single factor only. If the MMR vaccine is studied in isolation, you only get part of the story. The MMR vaccine used to contain Thermisol (mercury based) and now uses Aluminum. Some vaccines still use Thermisol. There is no question that mercury and aluminum (at the doses administered) are toxic, especially to infants. Statistics are irrelevant at this point! Now you need to look at potential effects of these toxins and also when delivered at a given age and in combination with other factors, such as other vaccines, environment, and diet. Vaccine loading is likely more significant than a MMR vaccine in itself. A key factor for infants is swelling of the brain after vaccination. This factor can cause all kinds of neurological problems and side effects. Autism is just one small piece of this picture, and the reason why correlation is difficult.

There is always more to a story than what is on the surface. What about the combination of other toxic exposures in our food, water and air, as well as the deficient diets our kids are raised on. Remember, there is ALWAYS a root cause! The westernized world is more diseased and sicker than ever before. Our government and general medical community have chosen to ignore this fact, because they are only focused on their grandiose social goals...and stuffing pockets with cash. Stop with the statistics and fix the problems!

Example: I can prove with 95% confidence that software I write works as designed. I run lots of tests and collect data. But I know that I have never tested the design thoroughly, even though it had some odd behavior at times...just thrown together and then checked if it worked. No big deal you say! Well, this device happens to deliver drugs to a patient. 1 out of every 100 patients is harmed or dies due to a minor malfunction that delivers an overdose. But I can statistically prove, with high confidence, the software works! Is that good enough?

The Amish

@betts of MT

This is simply not true. They do get vaccinated, although at a lower rate than the general population and they do have cases of autism. Link

OK, go ahead do the vaccine with out thinking or maybe by chance you will see this post. My baby at around six months received his vaccine. It didn't go well within hours he was running a fever, he cried and screamed his eyes opened when sleeping rolling back in his head. His muscle tone the week before was very strong now it was gone. But the saddest most feeling of loss was his beautiful alive eyes were gone once they spoke now they were gone, it was like his soul had died he had flown away.

Today at 21 he lives in the world of autism.

The Shame of Genetic Risk and Autism

Fortunately research is now starting to implicate a variety of genetic factors as key contributors to autism. Autism risk in sibs is 5-10%, a 45 times greater risk than the general population. Synaptogenesis, the making of connections between neurons that ramps up in toddlers, seems to be especially sensitive to underlying genetic problems. Families carrying mutations in the Neuroligin synaptogenic genes have a high frequency of autism spectrum disorders, and affected children carrying mutations in these genes have been identified. Synaptogenesis is a complicated process of brain remodeling that occurs in childhood and depends on many genes. Thus mutations segregating in many families are likely to cause a similar ultimate patient phenotype: autism. I worry that a misplaced focus on environmental causation encourages families with affected children to not seek valuable genetic risk counseling. Autism Speaks and other activist groups do not, at all, discuss genetic risks and genetic factors in autism. We have to free families from the percieved "shame" of genetic diseases, counsel parents to help them deal with the guilt of transmiting disease to their children and help families really get a handle on relative risk and reproduction. I feel like moving forward with understanding autism as a disease won't occur until families deal with ultimate causation. The science supporting the genetic basis of autism is now so strong, from copy number variants and micro-chromosomal abnormalities to the identification of individual genes, that it is immoral to withold genetic counseling and parental psychological counseling from families with autistic children. Additionally families need to be encouraged to enroll in genetic studies to increase our understanding of autisms real causes...which I am afraid won't happen if families only hear about environment theories of autism.

Vaccines saved humanity.

As a travelling physician throughout rural Alaska, Scandinavia and Far East Russia, vaccines save millions of lives.

To pin genetic problems due to lack of marital counseling is simply silly.

The culprit of autism has heaviest links in northern climes lacking sunlight and healthy levels of Vitamin D. I also assert than cigarettes, alcohol, poor prenatal eating habits and maternal pre/post natal depression more culpable culprits.

For a favorable trial outcome the jury stacking towards ignorance produces desired outcomes.

Judges & Big Pharma

How do we know the justices weren't paid off by the pharmaceutical industry?

@MD or TMS

I'm sure that in these tough economic times that either MD or TMS (if an MD or knows of one) could use some extra cash. There is still a reward that I believe is now up to $120,000.00 just to drink the following...

Keep in mind, not one person has come forward to do this (BIG CHICKENS):

$75,000 Offered For MD to Publicly Drink Vaccine Additives

Jock Doubleday, director of the California non-profit corporation Natural Woman, Natural Man, Inc., has offered $75,000 to the first medical doctor or pharmaceutical company CEO who publicly drinks a mixture of standard vaccine additives.

The additives would be the same as those contained in the vaccines recommended for a 6-year-old according to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, and the dose would be body-weight calibrated. It would include, but not be limited to:

* Thimerosal (a mercury derivative)

* Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)

* Phenol (a disinfectant dye)

* Aluminum

* Benzethonium chloride (a disinfectant)

* Formaldehyde (a preservative and disinfectant)

On August 1, 2007, if no one has taken the challenge, the offer will be increased to $90,000 and will increase at a rate of $5,000 per month until someone accepts.
