most of the profiles would be on private too.

The incredibly dogmatic "researchers" that conducted this study

Well now let's see.

This study concludes that 54% of the sampled teens that have myspace discuss these behaviors.

Are we assuming that the same 54% would not discuss these behaviors through text messages, e-mail, phone conversations, in person?

Come on now.

There better not be another one of these "incredibly conclusive, non-falsifiable studies" posted on this dogmatic piece of filth site again.

- A teen of the other 46 percent.

our future and ture attention and love

People worry about steep food costs and obesity, though, they spend less on 'back to school ' , citing recession. People criticize the car manufacturers for their inferior energy efficiency, while the articles over the future renewable energy and energy- efficient autos can't be easily found on the the front page. People are concerned about the unhealthy diets, however, they ignore the toxic environments on the internet in the name of freedom. War calls for more substance abuses, internet porns, violences, too much gaming to paralyze the conscience, rationality. Teens, youths are in dire need of their parents' care and love above food, which lead them to use internet for the sound informations, education, just as the new president mentioned.

MySpace hater

There is no reason for places like myspace and facebook on the internet. Kids are growing up too fast. An eleven year old shouldn't be talking about sexual behaviors on the internet with absolute strangers. If they want to talk to their friends, send them an e-mail. Anyway, kids will see their friends in school the next day. Gawd... what kids do sometimes amazes me. They throw there lives away to go talk to strange people on the internet. I really makes you think, doesn't it?

...what has the world come to?...

Knowledge

Expressing one's thoughts, desires, fears, and experiences helps everyone to learn about our inner selves. The knowledge we may aquire from interacting can give each of us a better insight of the world 'out there'. Lock the kids into their bedrooms or closets and see how they turn out. It will be your nightmare child from Hell. They will turn out against you.

Duh?!

Don't you and these guys know that we usually answer "yes" when it comes to "bad boy things". Not because we do it, but because we want you to think that we're part of the extreme group thats "cool"

teen discussion about SEX, Violence and... Substance abuse!!

OMG.. did it seriously Take a Scientific study to realize that Teens of all people Talk about these sort of things online? Jesus when did adults on this planet become so stupid, and out of touch with reality. YES your teen may be talking about who he/she wants to "do", how high they got the other night when they snuck out and went to there friends house and smoked POT, or how someone at school got BEAT UP because he was being a dumbass. But isnt that a perfectly normal part of growing up? didnt u guys talk about the same things when u where teenagers? Im tired of all these BAD parents with no Parenting knowledge blaming the Internet, or myspace, for there kids behavior. Shit at least u can see what ur kid is talking about online!! Just create your own account and... Stock your child! teach your kid some damn manners and how to have respect and forget about sheltering them from stupid things like myspace and facebook. Please, use Common sense, not idiocracy.

RETARDED ARTICAL

wow this artical is so stupid!! people that have a myspace dont only tlk about sex on myspaace! jzz..

New survey discovers teens discuss sex, drugs, and violence online?

Newsflash: Teens discuss sex, drugs, and violence in meatspace, too.

The comments posted miss the point, you shouldn't discuss risky behavior or substance abuse on an internet profile page. These pages can be easily searched by potential employees or college acceptance boards and can influence decisions that could have repercussions on future employment and education, which could have a very lasting impact on your future. I work for an agency that requires back ground checks for security purposes. An internet search for your name, etc. is simple and easy and could expose behaviors you'd rather not have broadcast to employers, etc. Teens and young adults have always engaged in risky behavior, but we've never had a way to broadcast it to the world before so there's never been a way for it to have such a lasting impact on the future.
