If it's not in writing, don't believe it

Don't sign a long-term contract because the sales person tells you that you can always change your mind later. Know the law for your state, and walk out if the gym doesn't write their promises in the contract.

Beware of Gym memberships

NEVER sign a "ontract" with a gym. They are a notorious scam. Legitimate gyms offer "month to month" payments and they are much les expensive in the long term than a contract. .
