Vitamins and disease prevention

HOG WASH!!!!!!!!!

Body and mind

Too much attention is given to fixing the body while the mind is neglected. The body needs healthy nutrients so does the mind. Avoiding junk foods and thoughts will definitely contribute to less ailment. Latest studies have shown the inefficacy of supplement. Good health is hard work. Exercise is hard work, freeing the mind of junk through meditation is hard work.

VITAMINS ETC.

Even though there are hundreds of tests to prove otherwise, the fda still insists there is no dif. between synthetic vitamins which are made from dead and man created substances, and real vitamins that come from natural products, these types of tests are still done with those synthetic "false" not real vitamins. So what they actually prove is that those "vitamins" don't work.

Vitamins and disease prevention

I have read synopses of many of these studies. The studies were performed by the allopathic community, pharmaceutical companies or other groups who profit by Not Finding positive results.

These studies were performed either/or/and using subjects already ill, subjects not given specific guidelines about what other vitamins, foods, or vitamins to discontinue during the study, using minimal dosages of the supplements (government RDA is grossly insufficient to even maintain health).

There are very informative websites that have specific research and documentation regarding alternative health and supplementation, such as Life Extension Foundation and Healthworld Online.

Know both sides of the issue to be a responsible consumer!

Fruit and Vegetables vs. Vitamins

I am a physician and undererstand your confusion. Twelve years ago, I was also confused as to why so many medical studies were consistently showing that antioxidant supplements were not proving effective, but on further investitigation I found that essentially all of the fruit and vegetable studies WERE effective at lowering your risk of heart disease, cancer, and other degenerative "age-related" conditions. There are over 12,000 "phytonutrients" (micronutrients) in whole food (fruits and vegetables) that work synergisticaly to protect your health.

No "vitamin" supplement contains anywhere near the full complement of nutrients needed to do the job. You need the balance and completeness of 9-13 servings of fruits and vegetables every day to protect your health and fight the oxidative processes going on in your body.

I would strongly encourage you to rearrange your diet to try to reach that goal. If you find yourself still falling short, your best bet is a whole food fruit and vegetable concentrate backed by valid, published RESEARCH. Be sure there is valid, published research. Anybody can claim anything, but if it is not documented by brand specific legitiamte research, it is just talk.

I would recommend to you what I take, Juice Plus, with the best research backing in the industry. Very simple concept: whole fruits and vegetables juiced, dried, reduced to powders and encapsulated. If you could use some help filling in those nutritional gaps, check it out at www.drfain.com

Eat more Fruit

Need a quick way to get your recommended servings of fruit and vegtables. Check out Monavie. Just 4 ounces of Monavie features an antioxidant capacity equivalent to 13 servings of fruit and vegtables! Every American should be drinking this! Check it out now at www.mymonavie.com/chiles

And next week another study says ---

It says "Antioxidant-rich vitamin and beta carotene supplements don't appear to prevent cancer in women"

Then it says "Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, which are also rich in antioxidants, she advised"

I confused.

Then it says "Try these 11 easy ways to load up on healthful omega-3 fats. Also, consider four distinct diet styles that promote health, the Mediterranean diet, Asian diet, Latin American diet, and vegetarian diets."

I still confused.

Of course where I live I will get cancer from the drinking water because of Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository

Maybe Vitamin will help.
