Lightheaded
Incense always makes me feel lightheaded in any case. You've got a point David... I made a list of the aspects of different religions that can have a positive or negative effect on your health, including Incense: http://www.pacificprime.com/blog/how-healthy-is-your-religion-a-checklist.html In terms of life-expectancy I'm tempted to go with Mormonism.
Not shocking.
Any sort of smoke, particulate matter or otherwise foreign substance that is inhaled into the respiratory tract can cause cancer, simply owing to the fact that it isn't supposed to be there.
However, I enjoy incense, and even though I know it might not be 'safe,' I'm still going to enjoy it.
No surprise
The small particles of soot in smoke cause cancer. We already know this is true for cigarette smoke, diesel exhaust, indoor cooking fire smoke, etc. It's no surprise that incense smoke has the same effect. Without fine particles, it isn't smoke. With fine soot particles, it causes cancer. If it's smoke, it's not good for you.
Another way to avoid the dreaded cancer.
Recent studies clearly indicate the leading progenitor of cancer is live birth. 100% of cancer patients were shown to have been born. Next time you are given a chance to incarnate just say no, you'll be glad you did.
