Video games are addictive as running all day in the backyard is addictive ... it's just the new era addiction ... is not as healthy as the backyard runnig but we have to think outside the box and see the benefits ... it will surely increse brain activity for example

Gamer Addiction

I used to think that my son was a genius or something. When he was three years old he could play the regular Nintendo games and beat the games!! He could write codes for the games before he knew how to write...

He did very well in school all the elementary years. All A's and plus marks/ always nice remarks from the teachers about a pleasure to have in class-respects adults and peers etc.

I never felt the need to limit the game play.I wouldn't want to PUNISH a boy who was doing so good in school and so kind and polite here at home!! I bought him every game he wanted because I loved him and he was good.

Well now he is one of the top gamers in the world...He has a very high gamer score on XBOX Live he is and has been number one in our state and he is in the top forty in the world out of the many who play on xbox live.

Well he is about to start his senior year in school and I am not about to brag to you about all of the scholarship offers,the great job offers or all the great plans he has for the future, because there are none...he has no future plans...He really needs help! He is losing his life and his future...Sometimes I feel like he is already dead.

I will always love him more than anything in this world! I have gotten over my disappointment in him,my broken heart over him...He is in so much pain...His friends still stop by to play a little but not often because they have a life,a job, a future!

What a greater PUNISHMENT then the loss of his entire CHILDHOOD!

With all the love a mother could give, (My son needed a parent and he still does.) He was always a good kid and he deserves better. I will be calling a place that I read about in this article for help.
